Good evening pals
Today was the big day. Team Portsmouth was packed and ready for their big adventure in the port city. Nobody knew what to expect but that made it even more exciting.
We gathered at 07:40 AM at the station of Brussel-Zuid. Then we had to have our passports ready to pass the border patrol. After that, we were welcomed aboard.

Meanwhile in the Eurostar train, everyone was busy eating, playing games or sleeping. When we arrived at London, we had to take another train to Portsmouth.
We arrived at our destination at 12:30 PM. There was no sunny welcome but Allison, an IBD member, gave us a friendly greeting. Now it was time to meet our host families. Every couple got a taxi to their new home for the upcoming 3 weeks.
Me and Eileen are staying at a beautiful house in the south of Portsmouth. We have a magnificent coastal view from our window. Our host, Pat, is literally the sweetest woman ever. We've only been here for one day and already had such nice conversations with her. There are 13 other international students who live in this house. Their nationalities are Polish and Czech.

This place already feels very familiar and homesickness is not in the loop. That's good news, right?
Curious about our upcoming activities for the next couple of days? Then you should definitely keep an eye out because this blog is updated daily!
Well, now it's time for bed. Thanks for taking the time to read and we'll speak to you tomorrow.
Team Portsmouth
