Today we visited Oxford, a beautiful city. To get there we had to make a journey of almost two hours in a minivan with a crazy driver who missed the exit and reversed on the highway. We all were a little scared that this may have been the last day of our lives. Lucky as we were, we got there safe and sound. The closer we got to Oxford, the older and more beautiful the houses became, so everyone was getting more and more excited. The weather was also in our favor. When we arrived, we went on a tour for 2 hours with a free guide. He showed us all the famous buildings and monuments of the university of Oxford.

It was a beautiful and really interesting tour. The tour guide was well informed and kept his tour interesting with jokes and expressions. Some of the history of Oxford is already funny on its own. An example is that there were a few professors who wanted to build a new college. There weren't enough fundings to make a school in the Sign of the Cross so they sold a piece of their land to get the money they needed. The only problem was that they sold the piece they needed to be able to build the school... Even the smartest people make a mistakes like that...
After the tour, we were free to do whatever we wanted in Oxford. At 16:30, we drove home. When we arrived, Frederik and I went home to eat and the rest went for dinner at Gunwharf Quays. We agreed to go bowling with the whole group, but there were some miscommunications, so we were only with the seven of us.
This was day seven in Portsmouth.
Until next time.
Frederik and Sander
