Day 17: Work experience during the third week

Greetings!

Another day in Portsmouth means another day at work!

I have already heard a lot of amazing things that other students have done at their work. Because I'm working at Game Over, I have had the chance to work on a computer. I had to check if the hard drives were working and I also had to reset the computer and install a new operating system (Windows).

The owner of Game Over (Steve Lowe) trusted me with the computer, which was meant for a client of him. I think that everyone of us can say that it is a great feeling when the owner gains more and more trust in you. This means that we also get to do more 'complicated' things. I already had the chance to use the till, which means that I get more in contact with the customers. Because of this I also improved my social and language skills. Having to speak English for three weeks straight definitely improves your English!

Today a new foreign student also started working at Game Over. Sander told me there was also a foreign girl who started working at the company where he is working.

Besides all that, we still have a great time here in Portsmouth! I think many of us will be sad when the internship finally comes to an end. But we can all say that it is an unforgettable experience!
